The CEDR funded Trusted Integrity and Authenticity for Road Applications (TIARA) [1] project is happy to announce an upcoming online workshop focusing on three main topics for you or your organisation to choose:

C-ITS PKI Guidance Development – here we will have discussions around possible issues and challenges that NRAs will encounter when developing PKI infrastructure and have a look the resources required to run C-Roads PKI infrastructure, including how the cost and computational requirements scale, and the administration required for certificate and key management.

ITS ethical aspects and transparent communication of data limitations to users – This part of the workshop has two topics to discuss. First topic is the ethical use of ITS data, including C-ITS considering problems and issues of data ethics as well as connected and automated vehicles data ethics. Secondly, how the data is transparently communicated to different users and how access and inclusivity is ensured across users’ different technical abilities.

Privacy in C-ITS Applications – Here we will address challenges including vehicle re-identification risks, anonymisation of V2X messages, and correlating vehicle data with personal information, despite privacy protections. Additionally, we will discuss the complexity of applying regulatory frameworks like GDPR and balancing data utility with privacy through encryption and pseudonymisation.
