Business Director, Silvaco Europe / Co-Chair, AESIN Power Electronics and Control Systems SIG

Andrew Patterson works as European Business Director for semiconductor design tool and IP provider, Silvaco Inc. This role includes activities focused on the performance improvement of compound semiconductor devices used in automotive applications, such as Silicon Carbide and Gallium Nitride. Prior to his role at Silvaco, Andrew served as global director of the Automotive Embedded Software business at Siemens Digital Industries, enabling automotive OEMs and Tier 1s to design and manufacture ECU software stacks. Andrew has supported multiple AESIN projects over the past few years, including in-vehicle information systems (IVI), Software Defined Vehicle (SDV), and currently the Power Electronics and Control Systems Special Interest Group (PECs). He holds a master’s degree in Engineering and Electrical Sciences from Cambridge University, UK.
