Sim4CAMSens Project – Modelling, Simulation and Testing of Automotive Perception Sensors
8 leading UK organisations have been working together since 2023 on methods to quantify and simulate camera, radar and lidar sensor performance under all conditions. The project is enabling a step change in synthetic training data generation using high fidelity sensor models and proposes a new framework for sensor testing and simulation credibility to support AV safety assurance including real-world validation.
